Mark Pollard

Founder, Mighty Jungle

Mark has been in the agency world since he was nineteen. Initially focused on user experience, content, and production, he moved into a hybrid brand and digital role at Leo Burnett Sydney ten years ago. Ever since, he has focused on bringing together ways of thinking that are often found in separate departments but are much stronger combined.

He's run strategy teams at McCann, Leo Burnett, and Big Spaceship, is a judge for the Jay Chiat Awards and the Webbys, as well as a former Account Planning Group (APG) Australia Committee member. He also founded Australia's first full-colour hip hop magazine Stealth in 1998 and was listed as one of Sydney's top 100 Creative Catalysts in a government initiative because of it. He's written for over 60 magazines, hosted a radio show for five years, and has spoken at TEDx, Miami Ad School, and the Cannes Festival of Creativity. He has also written for Wharton’s Future of Advertising program.

After 5 years in New York, he recently set up Mighty Jungle where he helps companies get out of their heads and into the wild with workshops and workouts that combine lateral thinking, understanding of human behavior, and new ways of working together.
